Global Sustainability and Management Summit, it is a new initiative lead by our Doctoral School, with which we seek to present cutting-edge research works on issues related to sustainability and management. From its first version, the conference seeks to position itself as a benchmark at the Latin American level. This perspective is essential for emerging countries to contribute to the understanding, analysis and generation of proposals aimed at meeting the sustainable development goals.

Target Group: Participants are international doctoral students and academics with interests in topics related to different functional areas of management such as marketing, strategy, finance, leadership, etc.

Luca is an economist, working at the intersection of environmental economics, energy markets, and industrial organisation. His current research projects include work on market-based instruments and climate finance.

Luca completed his formal training in economics in Italy. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich. He is also an alumnus of the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change (MIT) and is a visiting scholar at the Research Center for Sustainability Science, Ritsumeikan University in Japan.

Dr. Rashid Maqbool is a Senior Lecturer and Year Tutor (Level 5) at the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering, Northumbria University. Prior to joining Northumbria University, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in two prestigious universities of the world—one in the Tsinghua University, China and the second in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. He started his academic career as a Research Associate from the COMSATS University Islamabad and as a visiting Professor from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), Lima, Peru., where he taught multiple courses on Construction and Project Management. He has also collaborated actively with researchers in several national and international funded projects.

Dr. Victoria-Sophie Osburg joined MBS in 2021 as an Associate Professor in Marketing. Her research focuses on sustainability marketing and responsible consumption, particularly in the digital age. Her research projects also consider responsibility in the luxury industry and in the context of AI implementation in service interactions. Her research has been published in many leading journals such as Journal of Service Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, and Psychology and Marketing. She also works as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Business Ethics and the Journal of Business Research, and she is a Co-track chair of the AMS World Marketing Congress.

Her teaching interests include Socially-responsible Marketing, Consumer Psychology and Behavior, Marketing (Management), and Marketing Communications. She has taught students from all levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, (E)MBA) and in different countries (UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore).

His  areas of specialization integrate training and experience in natural sciences and human development, with the areas of social ecology, philosophy and organizational ecology.                                                      
 
The experience as an international consultant in project planning and management stands out in the professional activity, as well as in the educational area the unique contribution in the academic area in postgraduate courses oriented to the development of higher-order thinking - critical, creative and relevant is relevant. systemic–, as well as philosophical training, as an ethical foundation for management with social and environmental responsibility and with sustainable criteria.
