This is an interdisciplinary course for university professors to improve their English skills and at the same time reflect on their pedagogical practices.
When confronting processes of teaching and learning concepts, students normally use the strategy of thinking and analysing the situation placed on common settings, but have difficulties to transfer these learnings to other contexts that may widen their view of the situation at hand. This makes them stay "inside the box".
Most classes have students with varying levels of English, and even when there is a lot of material in English that can provide students a better understanding of the matter, most teachers avoid using it precisely because not all students have the same level or the appropriate level to understand completely the material.
